Rules for the Junior Division
Pairs Championship
Nine rounds before the first new class comes into the division have been programmed, with the best seven nights to count.
Three Night Matches
(Seasonal Pairs) These are played over three nights with the same partner, and to win, all nights must be played. However, one substitute is allowed. Please indicate on your table slip if your partner is a substitute. You cannot win more than one of these events with the same partner.
Alma Delahunty Pairs
This is a three night event in all divisions and is to be played with the same partner. Winners of the trophy will be the pair with the best average percentage over all divisions. All three nights must be played with the same partner to qualify.
Two Night Match
Players are eligible to win this only if they play with a different partner each night.
Teams and Guy Fawkes Teams
You may organise a team of four or come as a pair, as extra players will be available to make up teams.
Play With a Friend Nights
The purpose of these nights is to enable you to play with friends or partners from other divisions. Senior players will be available for those who do not know anyone from another division. While the emphasis will be on play, there will be a coaching aspect to these nights, as the more senior players may pick up on errors that have crept in to your bidding!
