Rules for the Senior Division

Divisional Pairs Championship

Scores with a substitute do not count. No player who has declined promotion is eligible to win the Pairs Championship more than once.

8 rounds have been programmed for the Senior competition. The winners will be the pair with the highest average of their best six scores played with the same partner.

Four Night Match

This is played over four nights with the same partner. To win all nights must be played, however one substitute is allowed.

Three Night Matches

(Seasonal Pairs) These are played over three nights with the same partner, and to win, all nights must be played. However, one substitute is allowed. Please indicate on your table slip if your partner is a substitute. You cannot win more than one of these events with the same partner.

Two Night Matches

These matches in January must be played with a different partner each night.

Congress Pairs

A two-night match played in all divisions with the same partner.

Alma Delahunty Pairs

This is a three night event in all divisions and is played with the same partner. Winners of the trophy will be the pair with the best average over all divisions. All three nights must be played with the same partner to qualify.

Individual Ladders

The J S Asher Plate is played with a different partner each night. The winner will be the player with the highest average score from the best five scores.
